By accessing or using LoopHalo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use LoopHalo. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and to terminate accounts that violate this requirement.

Users who are legally prohibited from using video communication services in their jurisdiction may not use LoopHalo.

3. Account Registration

You may create an account using Google authentication or as a guest via anonymous authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate profile information (name, age, location)
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

When using LoopHalo, you agree to:

• Treat all users with respect and dignity
• Not engage in harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech
• Not transmit sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content
• Not solicit minors or engage in any activity harmful to minors
• Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Not use the Service for illegal activities, fraud, or scams
• Not attempt to circumvent bans, suspensions, or safety features
• Not record, screenshot, or redistribute calls without consent
• Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the Service

5. Content and Conduct

LoopHalo is a live video communication platform. All video, audio, and text chat content is transmitted in real-time and is not stored or recorded by LoopHalo unless required for safety investigations.

You retain ownership of any content you transmit. By using the Service, you grant LoopHalo a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Safety and Moderation

LoopHalo provides safety tools including:

• One-tap reporting — Instantly report inappropriate users
• Blocking — Prevent specific users from matching with you
• Account freezing — Reported accounts are immediately restricted pending review
• Automatic bans — Users receiving multiple reports are automatically suspended

False or abusive reporting may result in action against the reporting account.

7. Trust Score and Matching

LoopHalo uses a trust-based matching algorithm that considers respectful call duration, positive feedback from other users, reporting history, and profile completeness. Users with higher trust scores may receive priority matching. Reports and violations reduce trust scores.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or permanently ban your account if you:

• Violate these Terms or our community guidelines
• Receive multiple reports from other users
• Engage in illegal activity
• Attempt to circumvent safety measures
• Provide false age or identity information

Bans may be temporary or permanent at our discretion. You may appeal a ban by contacting us.

9. Intellectual Property

The LoopHalo name, logo, design, and software are owned by LoopHalo and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• The behavior, identity, or age of other users
• The quality or reliability of video/audio connections
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoopHalo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to LoopHalo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LoopHalo and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules. You agree to waive your right to participate in class-action lawsuits.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LoopHalo operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
